The Adventure Club

Shelley Orthodontist

Adventure Orthodontics believes that patients should get dental services at an early age. Our Adventure Club in Idaho Falls is a complementary guidance program designed to help kids get orthodontic care at the earliest age possible. The program is in line with the American Association of Orthodontics’ recommendation that children get a wellness check before the age of 7. At our Shelley branch, we evaluate the orthodontic needs of your child before or at the age of 7.

Apart from routine checkups, the program monitors the child’s jaw growth, tooth eruption, dental crowding, and airway development. The evaluation is free at our Shelley Orthodontic Office in Idaho falls, and the orthodontists advise parents/guardians on whether the child needs treatment and the need for early intervention.

Our Shelly Orthodontic Dental Services for Teens

Shelley Orthodontist

The best time for your child to have an orthodontic procedure is in the early teenage years. The child is growing fast at this stage, and interventions to correct tooth movement and bite can produce excellent results.

We offer various orthodontic treatment options for our teenage patients. The options include traditional braces, Invisalign, and clear braces. The duration of the treatment plan will vary with the severity of the dental problems, but most orthodontic treatments take between 18 and 30 months.

Dental Procedure for Adults

Our Shelley Orthodontic branch offers several procedure plans to help adults achieve a sparkling, beautiful, and healthy smile. Our resident doctors, Dr. McCord and Dr. McCoy can recommend one of the following interventions depending on individual needs and preferences:

Braces

Braces work on patients of all ages. We have traditional metal braces and ceramic (clear) braces for those who prefer something more discreet.

Invisalign

Invisalign involves giving the patient removable plastic aligners to wear. It is virtually invisible and may appeal to patients who want to maintain a natural look during orthodontic treatment.

When you come to our Shelley Orthodontic Clinic, the dentists will inform you about all the available dental care options to help you determine the best fit.

Aesthetic Alignment Options

Invisalign

Clear plastic aligner therapy involves wearing and changing clear removable trays every two weeks. The clear plastic trays gently guide the teeth into position. Most patients prefer the AcceleDent Aura option because it reduces the time by half.

Gac mtm Brackets

The GAC mtm bracket system offers patients the benefit of having invisible tooth alignment. The mtm bracket facilitates fast tooth adjustment enabling alignment to occur within 8 to 10 months.

Clarity Advanced Ceramics Brackets

Clarity advanced ceramic brackets are the most advanced aesthetic bracket and provide complete control of every tooth.

Accelerated Treatment

Shelley Orthodontist

Our Shelley Orthodontic Clinic utilizes the AcceleDent Aura technology, which is a device that achieves orthodontic treatment by applying for 20 minutes a day. It is clinically proven to align teeth 50% faster than conventional methods and reduces discomfort.

Propel is an FDA-approved medical device that stimulates fast tooth movement and bone remodeling.

Snoring TMJ Therapy

Shelley Orthodontist

Many people suffer from apnea, which is caused by a lack of oxygen when sleeping. Most cases are caused by the obstruction of the airway by jawbones and oral tissues. Dental care service depends on the cause of the problem.

TMJ therapy is used to correct deformities in the temporomandibular joints (TMJs) that connect the lower jawbone to the skull. Visit Our Shelley Orthodontic Branch if you think you have TMD.

FAQ

How do I know if my child is in need of a dental professional?

Even though your child’s teeth may appear to be straight, they can have a variety of issues. Conversely, some issues appear scary and complex but will resolve on their own. Consulting your dentist is a good reference, but since orthodontics is our expertise, we are the best resource.

Our initial examination is free, and we would be delighted to see your child in order to make any required recommendations.

What are early symptoms of orthodontic problems?

Although identifying whether a dental service plan is necessary is difficult for you to determine, the following symptoms (which are only a few of the obvious indicators of orthodontic problems) may help you in seeking our orthodontic advice:

  • Request your children to open his or her mouth and examine his or her teeth. He or she may require a dental procedure if you notice any evidence of misalignment, gaps in between, or overlapping.
  • To check your child’s teeth, ask them to bite all the way down while keeping their lips open. Do the upper teeth in the front align with the bottom? Do the top teeth protrude past their bottom teeth? Does the top front teeth cover more than 20% of the bottom? Are the top in front of the bottom? These are all signs that you could need orthodontic treatment plan.
  • Lastly, take a look at your child’s jaw alignment. When your youngster bites down, does his or her jaw slip off center? Your child may have a skeletal condition that requires early orthodontic procedures if you see any misalignment or displacement of the jaw.

How to make an appointment at our Shelley Orthodontist clinic?

Simply call us to make appointments! Our friendly staff will gladly assist you in scheduling your next appointment at your convenience. Please let us know if you are a new patient or have been referred to our clinic, and we will supply you with all of the necessary information.

Is orthodontic dental services expensive?

According to the American Dental Association, the national average cost for orthodontic treatment is $4,800 to $7,135.

Orthodontics is known to be the best value in dentistry. Orthodontic fees have not surged as quickly as the prices of many other consumer goods. Financing is typically available, and our Orthodontic Clinic in Shelly Idaho Falls has a variety of installment plans to suit your needs.

In addition, it is now covered by many insurance policies. When orthodontic procedure is started at the proper time, it is generally less expensive than the dental treatments needed to address more serious issues that may arise years later.

If I get braces, how long do I have to wear them?

The amount of spent in braces will depend on the individual patient.

Typically, for most standard treatments take about 22 months, but it can take anywhere between 6-30 months.
