Welcome to Adventure Orthodontics! My goal goes beyond the creation of a beautiful smile — it includes facial growth, jaw development, breathing, airway function, and long-term health. I believe in looking at the whole person, not just the teeth, and whenever possible, creating the space your body needs rather than simply removing teeth to make everything fit.
That philosophy is what led me to become a pioneer in Maxillary Implant Assisted Rapid Palatal Expansion (MARPE). We began treating patients with this specialized expander in 2017, when only a handful of providers nationwide were using it. Dr. McCoy and I worked directly with one of the best labs in the country to help design and refine the expander used today, learning and improving with every case. The MARPE is now one of my greatest passions, and my experience has made us the most experienced providers of this treatment in the region.

I graduated with honors at the top of my dental school class at the University of Louisville, where I earned my dental degree and a Master’s in Oral Biology. I then completed my orthodontic training and a second Master’s degree at the University of Iowa. I’ve had the privilege of teaching, conducting research, and having my work published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. But training and degrees only tell part of the story.
Credentials aren’t the reason I love what I do. It’s the people. I want every patient to feel heard, cared for, and treated like family. When you trust me with your smile, I consider that a privilege.
Outside of my clinical responsibilities, I enjoy coaching on the soccer field, skiing, attending the latest plays or musicals, volunteering in the community, and spending quality time with my own family. I am proud to serve families throughout the Idaho Falls, Pocatello, Shelley and Victor communities — and I can’t wait to welcome yours.
