When you were in today, I was sorry to see that we have not been able to help you keep your teeth and gums healthy despite our best efforts. As a result, you have an infection of the gum tissue that could spread and cause a loss of the bone which surrounds the teeth. Poor oral hygiene can produce permanent damage to the teeth and gums, including white spots and cavities on the teeth. 

Please take this situation seriously. You could suffer further irreparable damage to your teeth, including nerve damage and potential tooth loss. 

For your safety, we must discontinue treatment at this time and braces will need to be removed as soon as possible.
